Klischée was founded in the year 2010 around the two producers Dominique Trio and Kilian Spinnler. Their taste for fine old swing and jazz music merged into their electronically produced tracks: trumpets and guitars meet modern drum beats and synthesizers. As a supplement they brought guest musicians and singers in the recording Studio. Klischée evolved in a five-member band when vj Benjamin Kniel joined them on stage with his visuals. The charismatic MC and singer, William Bejedi who made "45 Degré" French rap music for a long time, contributed much. At his side is the charming singer Marena Whitcher since 2013.
Bull’s eye! Or just «Touché» as the Electro-swingers «Klischée» have dubbed their debut album. In the style of a fencing duel, the band is now on the decisive goal. 2014 should be a good year for «Klischée». The past few years have been peppered with large live performances and numerous good reviews for the creation of this innovative and stylistically confident band. Now the release of «Touché» is the next logical step in their young career, a step that is likely to be determining and groundbreaking. But the fact that the twelve tracks on their album «Touché» do not affect someone is rather unlikely. It’s hard to escape from their music: Whether Lyrics in French or English, danceable club songs or pop gems with singing, «Klischée» have already shown their wide sound range on this first album. It’s impressive how well this harmonizes and blends together. While songs like «Harlequin» or their hit single «Tin Tin» invite to the dance floor, the band can also be charming in tracks such as the chanson-like and leisurely «Plastique». It’s working! The mixture does it, the balance is right. Amazing how the multi-faceted «Touché» comes along. Hard to imagine that this release couldn’t be liked by music lovers. Take it, buy it, listen to it! This is definitely a must-have.
